Nitrofied and Foxy Flyer collided approaching the first turn. Foxy Flyer and Dawn Waker collided approaching the first turn, Dawn Waker contacted the running rail as a result. Stolen Gem and Spritely Cru collided approaching the first turn checking Spritely Cru, Dawn Waker, Speedy Red and Abundant Health and causing Abundant Health to race wide. Tricky Zorro checked off Stolen Gem approaching the home turn checking Dawn Waker. Foxy Flyer, Nitrofied and Speedy Red collided approaching the home turn severely checking Speedy Red. Tricky Zorro and Stolen Gem collided in the home straight. Tricky Zorro eased in the home straight and collided with Stolen Gem. Tricky Zorro, Dawn Waker and Stolen Gem collided approaching the winning post.

Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Tricky Zorro with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment and suspended the greyhound for 28 days Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
