Steward's Report
Riverdale Goldie and Katari Night were quick to begin. Zambora Topaz was slow to begin.
Dr. Matrix visibly eased and turned its head inwards turning off the back straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the left thigh. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. K. Quinn regarding Dr. Matrix’s racing manners turning off the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Dr. Matrix was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Quinn pleaded guilty to the charge and Dr. Matrix must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
