Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Moraine Sofia on 27 June 2023 pursuant to GAR 139.
Pursuant to GAR 75(6) Kennel supervisor Mrs. C. Hopkins did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event.
Still To Come was slow to begin.
Trixy Zulu underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Luke Thompson regarding Trixy Zulu’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Trixy Zulu was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Thompson pled not guilty to the charge. Trixy Zulu was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
