Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Joe Palooka.
Watching was quick to begin. Foxy Lady Song and Little Maldini were slow to begin.
Little Maldini faltered approaching the 150m mark and lost ground, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to both wrists and the right triangle muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Darren Petersen regarding Little Maldini’s performance and racing manners in this event. Mr. Petersen declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. After hearing submissions from Mr Petersen, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Little Maldini unsatisfactory. Little Maldini must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
