The closing time of kennelling was altered in accordance with GAR 86, due to the late arrival of several trainers who experienced significant traffic delays on–route to the track.The kennels closed at 13:45.

Rocky Dingo, Sassy Swan and Path Of Glory were slow to begin.

Platinum Bow was quick to begin.

A post-race sample was taken from Professor Snitch - the winner of the event.

A pre–race sample was taken from My Juanita.

Stewards held the All Clear after the lure drive failed entering the home straight . After reviewing all available video footage and acting on their observations, the Stewards were not comfortably satisfied that the incident had no effect on the outcome of the race. As such, pursuant to GAR 110, the event was declared a ‘No Race’. All bets are refunded. The weights recorded for the greyhounds are void and do not count for the purposes of the weight rule at the greyhounds’ next start. The event was then abandoned, with prizemoney to be split evenly between the greyhounds which competed. 

Racing was indefinitely delayed at 15:14 due to a failure of the lure drive system. Track maintenance staff rectified the issue. Stewards declared the track satisfactory for racing at 15:36.

Pontiac Shadow, My Juanita, Dewana Mystery, Our Purple Haze and Sakura Ryker, underwent a post–race veterinary examination after the failure of the lure drive system – no apparent injury were reported.

Gerry's Gift underwent a post–race veterinary examination after the failure of the lure drive system and was found to have a left hindleg abrasion. No stand down period was imposed.  

Swanky Ryker underwent a post–race veterinary examination after the failure of the lure drive system and was found to have shin soreness to left and right foreleg, A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Sapphire Speed underwent a post–race veterinary examination after the failure of the lure drive system and was found to have mild bruising to the left hindleg. No stand down period was imposed.

The start of this event was rescheduled to 15:55.

Harley Rider was slow to begin.

Team Staffing was galloped on in the back straight , underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Ferdinand Boy was severely checked in the back straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right groin injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

The start of this event was rescheduled to 16:12.

Conroy was slow to begin.

Koh Samui was severely checked in the home straight and subsequently fell, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg spike wound injury. A 5 day standdown period was imposed. 

The start of this event was rescheduled to 16:30.

Superior Swanny, Ethan's Thunder and Fibularis were slow to begin.

Ethan's Thunder raced ungenerously in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg tarsal sprain injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Debbie Selleck regarding Ethan's Thunder's performance and racing manners in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Ms Selleck, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Ethan's Thunder unsatisfactory. Ethan's Thunder must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

The start of this event was rescheduled to 16:45.

Minter Dominate was quick to begin.

His Hands Genius faltered entering the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg tarsal fracture injury. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track entering the home straight and deemed it satisfactory for racing.

Ms Lyn Smith requested an early race endorsement for Purdy's Chance. The Stewards approved the request after an examination prior to racing by the on–track veterinarian.Purdy's Chance will compete in early races until further notice.

Magic Bee was quick to begin. Xerxes Bale was slow to begin. 

Xerxes Bale faltered approaching the 200m mark and subsequently tailed off, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg carpal fracture injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track between the 250m mark and 200m mark and deemed it satisfactory for racing.

Mr Gregory Schofield failed to kennel Nangar Troy by the appointed kennelling time. Stewards took into consideration Mr. Schofield health concerns on-route to the track and issued Mr. Schofield with a fine of $250.00 under GAR156(f) for negligence.

Next Teardrop and Romarosa were quick to begin.

Spy Craft was galloped on in the first turn and subsequently fell, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg back muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Acting in accordance with the GRV Lightning and Thunderstorm Safety Procedure, racing was suspended at 17:58 due to lightning strikes within the designated safety zone around the Traralgon Greyhound Club. Due to safety concerns the meeting was delayed by 33 minutes and race re–scheduled accordingly.
