Steward's Report
Cephalopod Quill – Late scratching at 10.39am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a split webbing on the left foreleg. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Aston Sterling was quick to begin. Endurance was slow to begin.
Endurance marred Ring A Dusty approaching the winning post and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. John Delaroche regarding Endurance's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Endurance was charged with marring. Mr. Delaroche pled guilty to the charge. Enduance was suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
