Scotch And Coke was quick to begin.
Scotch And Coke visibly eased and turned its head outwards turning into the front straight and marred Learned Lesson in the home straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left-fore monkey muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Adrian Nuttall regarding Scotch And Coke’s racing manners. Under the provisions of GAR 126, the offence of marring must be preferred by the Stewards. Therefore, acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Scotch And Coke was charged with marring. Mr. Nuttall pleaded guilty to the charge and Scotch And Coke was suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Penny's Princess fell in the catching pen, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left-fore monkey muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Nymph marred Hurricane Hazel approaching the winning post, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right-hind triangle muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Paul Hammerstein regarding Nymph’s racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Nymph was charged with marring. Mr. Hammerstein pleaded not guilty to the charge, Nymph was found guilty and suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform two Satisfactory Trials in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
