Steward's Report
Alness Treasure was quick to begin.
Sir Nathan and Flying Speed were slow to begin.
Flying Speed contacted the running rail approaching the turn out of the back straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg laceration. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Cyclone Sophie marred Alness Treasure in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a groin injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative regarding Cyclone Sophie’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Cyclone Sophie was charged with marring. Mr. Dalton pled not guilty to the charge. Cyclone Sophie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
