Steward's Report
Creditor was slow to begin. Last Unicorn and Osprey Knight were quick to begin.
Who's Nanna Pat, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left wrist, right groin and left metatarsals. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
She Is Spoilt, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left wrist and both thighs. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Trainers Mr K. Howat and Mr N. Lavelle and representative Mr S. Brincat regarding the performances and the subsequent OTV's findings of injuries to the greyhounds My Bro Who, Who's The Sister, She Is Spoilt and Who's Nanna Pat. These four greyhounds are littermates and shared between the two kennels. Mr Howat, Mr Lavelle and Mr Brincat all explained that the greyhounds have been trialling at Geelong over the track and distance regularly and most recently on Saturday 3/12/2022. The performances of the greyhounds last Saturday were satisfactory, and the connections were at a loss to explain today's performances. Stewards accepted the explanation from the kennel and will monitor the performances of the greyhounds.
