Steward's Report
Florette Bale and Tommy Tuna were quick to begin. Storm Shelter and Modest were slow to begin.
Florette Bale turned it's head outwards on the home turn and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Ms. A. Gurry declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Ms. Gurry regarding Florette Bale’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Florette Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Gurry pleaded guilty to the charge, Florette Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool only and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Storm Shelter – placed forth in the event.
