Steward's Report
Galloping Speed was slow to begin.
Winnindoo Wendy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a abrasion at the metatarsel. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Donald Rhodes regarding Winnindoo Wendy escaping the catching pen. The Stewards noted that Winnindoo Wendy had demonstrated this same practise at Warragul on the 14/10/2022 and was issued with a warning on that occasion. Acting in accordance with GAR 129 and being mindful of the safety of Winnindoo Wendy, other greyhounds in the race and staff that triage these types of incidents, the Stewards were not satisfied with the performance and placed Winnindoo Wendy on a satisfactory trial under GAR 129, and in accordance with GAR 132, with the condition that Winnindoo Wendy needs to remain in the catching pen in order to pass the trial.
