Boot A Dream was slow to begin.
Magic Bee was severely checked approaching the 200m mark and subsequently pulled up, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 5. Magic Bee was found to have a right triangle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Keoni Bale collided with Magic Bee, Bomber's Kiss and Mrs. Jessup approaching the 200m mark and subsequently fell, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left radius fracture. Keoni Bale was humanely euthanised.
Bomber's Kiss collided with Magic Bee, Keoni Bale and Mrs. Jessup approaching the 200m mark and subsequently fell, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
