Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Betty's Baklava.
Mepunga Tilly eased approaching the winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Harrison Goss, the representative of Mepunga Tilly regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Mepunga Tilly was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Goss pleaded guilty to the charge, Mepunga Tilly was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Kalyara severely checked on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
