Steward's Report
Hello Jett was slow to begin.
Summer Riot turned it's head outwards on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 12 - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Colin Bermingham regarding Summer Riot’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Summer Riot was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Bermingham pled guilty to the charge,Summre Riot was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Tinker Clark failed to pursue in the back straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms. Michelle Mallia regarding Tinker Clark’s racing manners in the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Tinker Clark was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Mallia pled guilty to the charge, Tinker Clark was found guilty and suspended for 28 days atGeelong only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Hello Jett – the winner of the event.
Trainer Ms C. Allen pleaded guilty to a charge of negligence pursuant to GAR 156(f). The particulars of the charge being that Ms Allen negligently retrieved the incorrect greyhound from the kennels and commenced to transport the greyhound. After considering the matter Ms Allen was fined $100.
