Angus Keeping – Late scratching at 11:48 am when Ms Emily Azzopardi reported the greyhound to have an diarrhoea (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
Die Hard was slow to begin and stumbled soon after the start.
Die Hard severely checked on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg triangle injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
Deadly Class severely checked and fell on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have lacerations to the left hip and right tibia, back pain and left hindleg hip soreness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Post–race hair and urine samples were taken from Dundee Smokey – the winner of the event.
