Steward's Report
Feel Like Flying was quick to begin. Woodleigh Bear was slow to begin.
Destiny Rocks was severely checked and fell on the home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left front radius and ulna fracture. Destiny Rocks was humanely euthanised.
Hurricane Tahlia collided several times in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions on the right hind leg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mrs Victoria Sultana regarding the racing manners of Hurricane Tahlia approaching the finishing post. After hearing submissions from Mrs Sultana, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
