Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Dunwerkin.
This event was delayed by approimately 2 minutes.
Sonny Daze was quick to begin. Dunwerkin and Cool Blue Star were slow to begin.
Sonny Daze severely checked at the 250m mark and subsequently fell, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right foreleg fractures. Sonny Daze was humanely euthanised.
A post–race sample was taken from Django Maskiel – the winner of the event.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track in the home straight and deemed it satisfactory for racing.
