Pursuant to GAR 75(7) Steward, Ms R.Fazulla did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Lacey Star was quick to begin. Shameless was slow to begin.
Head Knocker (turned its head outwards soon after the start) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have thumps and a spike wound to the lfet hind. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr A.Debattista regarding Head Knocker’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Head Knocker was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Debattista pleaded guilty to the charge, Head Knocker was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Lacey Star – the winner of the event.
