Steward's Report
Stewards have reminded participants to cease wearing the Dream Chasers Festival polos, as the 17th December 2022 exemption will no longer apply and the GRV dress code attire (white collared polo shirt) must be worn when handling. Furthermore, closed toe shoes must always be worn (kennelling and handling). Failure to comply with the policy may result in penalties being issued.
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 26.8 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.5 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Fletcher Flash - Late scratching at 5.19pm on 1/1/2023 with Stewards permission due to a change of trainer.
Miracle Mikey and Exit Sign were quick to begin. Forward Step and Perfect Stranger were slow to begin.
