Cool Whip, Deadly Ambition and Hydro Glide were slow to begin.
My Name's Lyn marred Hydro Glide on the home turn and again in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms Paula Boots, the representative of My Name's Lyn regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 My Name's Lyn was charged with marring. Ms Boots pleaded guilty to the charge, My Name's Lyn was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Coconut Santiago underwent a post–race veterinary examination due to concerns about its racing manners approaching the home turn – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Gabriel regarding the racing manners of Coconut Santiago on the home turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Gabriel, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.

After hearing evidence from Mr McCullagh, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn.
