Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 31.6 degrees and the kennel temperature were 17.6 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Perfect Stranger was slow to begin.
Pumper faltered entering the home turn and tailed off, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race sample was taken from Fentons Rise – the winner of the event.
