In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 31.6 degrees and the kennel temperature were 17.6 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Pumper faltered entering the home turn and tailed off, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg back muscle injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

My Name's Lyn marred Hydro Glide on the home turn and again in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.  Stewards spoke to Ms Paula Boots, the representative of My Name's Lyn regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 My Name's Lyn was charged with marring.  Ms Boots pleaded guilty to the charge, My Name's Lyn was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Coconut Santiago underwent a post–race veterinary examination due to concerns about its racing manners approaching the home turn – no apparent injury was reported.  Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Gabriel regarding the racing manners of Coconut Santiago on the home turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr Gabriel, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.

Hydro Glide underwent a post–race veterinary examination due to concerns about its racing manners approaching the home turn – no apparent injury was reported.  Stewards spoke to Mr Ronald McCullagh regarding the racing manners of Hydro Glide approaching the home turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr McCullagh, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn.

Cool Militant turned its head outwards in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg wrist injury; a seven day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Adriano Moro regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Cool Militant was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Moro pleaded guilty to the charge, Cool Militant was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
