Boots and Quest For Fame were quick to begin. Son Of Cecil was slow to begin.
Fire The Page (fell on the first turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an abdominal muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Quest For Fame (turned it's head to the outside soon after the start), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an abdominal muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Jack Campbell regarding Quest For Fame’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Quest For Fame was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Campbell pleaded guilty to the charge, Quest For Fame was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
