Go Seek Carrigan was quick to begin, Son Of Cindy and Tinker Mike were slow to begin.

Juno Another Way underwent a post–race veterinary examination and after being re-vetted following race 7 was found to have a lumbo-sacral injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. D. Cortese regarding Juno Another Way’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Juno Another Way was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Cortese pled not guilty to the charge, Juno Another Way was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Code Cracker and Conroy were quick to begin. Star Blazer was slow to begin.

A post-race sample was taken from Hill Top Jonnie - the winner of the event.

Unathi Bale and Zella Bale were quick to begin. Ferdinand Boy was slow to begin. 

Ferdinand Boy, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left gracilis muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from I'm Talking - the winner of the event.

A post-race sample was taken from Mepunga Mustang - the winner of the event.

Fleetwood Alpha – Late scratching at 10.17am when Trainer, Ms A Langton, reported the greyhound to have a triangle muscle injury (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted. 

Quest For Extra was slow to begin. 

Moraine Zorro – The frequency of racing was discussed with Trainer, Mr. P. Fulton, the comments were noted. Moraine Zorro, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a medial tibial periostitis injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

There were no reportable incidents for this event. 

Yaala Express – Late scratching at 12.44pm when Trainer, Mr J. Wickham, reported the greyhound to be lame in the right foreleg (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Impingement - the winner of the event.

Little Yaala was quick to begin. 

A post-race sample was taken from Blackpool May - the winner of the event.

Fernando Bubbles underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. P. Cusack regarding Fernando Bubbles pulling up prior to the return gate and hurdling the rail before being restrained. Stewards noted that Fernando Bubbles was currently being monitored after failing to enter the catching pen at Ballarat on the 26 September, 2022.  Acting in accordance with GAR 129 and being mindful of the safety of Fernando Bubbles, other greyhounds in the race and staff that triage these types of incidents, the Stewards were not satisfied with the performance and placed Fernando Bubbles on a satisfactory trial under GAR 129, and in accordance with GAR 132, with the condition that Fernando Bubbles needs to run past the return gate in order to pass the trial.
