Steward's Report

Dr. Rodrigo – The frequency of racing was discussed with kennel representative Mr Luke Adams, the comments were noted. 

Cruising Through – New declared weight of 31.8kg, last raced at 30.1kg. 

Dr. Rodrigo due to frequency of racing underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. 

Fletchie Boy underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury.  Fletchie Boy was re-vetted after race 5 and was found to have a right back muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  

Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Elston regarding Fletchie Boy's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Fletchie Boy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Elston pled guilty to the charge, Fletchie Boy was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
