Out of competition samples were taken from Quinlan Bale, Action Girl, Sacred Stance, Unleash Collinda, Nicolson Bale, Panama Canal, and Riccarton Rick on 6 September 2022 pursuant to GAR 139.
Out of competition sample were taken from Ferdinand Boy and Master Ogilvie on 7 September 2022 pursuant to GAR 139.
Panama Canal underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms Jessica Hopkins regarding the greyhound's racing manners. After hearing submissions from Ms Hopkins, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.
Post–race samples were taken from Sacred Stance (1st), Quinlan Bale (2nd) and Typhoon Sammy (3rd).
