Steward's Report
Homer Four Zero was quick to begin. Saint Bogan, French Quarter and Rushworth were slow to begin.
Homer Four Zero turned it's head outwards and collided with Miss Indi Lee soon after the start and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. T. Whitford regarding Homer Four Zero’s racing manners soon after the start.. Mr. Whitford declined the option of re-vetting the greyhound. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Homer Four Zero was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Whitford pleaded guilty to the charge, Homer Four Zero was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre–race sample was unable to be obtained from French Quarter, a post–race sample was subsequently taken.
