Grumbler raced wide on the home turn and collided with Aston Capon, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr Cameron Taylor regarding the racing manners of Grumbler on the home turn. After hearing submissions from Mr. Cameron Taylor, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

This event was delayed four (4) minutes due to the failure of the trip mechanism. As a result this event was manually started.

Stewards held the All Clear after there was a significant delay to the boxes opening, and they then opened when the lure was well beyond the correct starting point as prescribed in GAR 108 (3). This also caused the lure to be initially positioned well beyond the required distance of between 5-8 metres as GAR 109 prescribes. After reviewing all available video footage and acting on their observations, the Stewards were not comfortably satisfied that the incident had no effect on the outcome of the race. Therefore, pursuant to GAR 110 the event was declared a ‘No Race’. All bets are refunded. The weights recorded for the greyhounds are void and do not count for the purposes of the weight rule at the greyhounds’ next start. The event was then abandoned, with prizemoney to be split evenly between the greyhounds which competed.

The boxes were tested prior to this event and found to be of satisfactory working order.

Natteo Bale was vetted folowing an incident in the catching pen. underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a puncture wound to the left elbow. A  3 day stand down period was imposed 

Radical Rex– Was ordered to wear an anti–aggression muzzle in all future events in accordance with GAR 131.

Natural Action – Late scratching at 6.22pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to diarrhoea and elevated heart rate. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. Gregory Turnbull, representative, requested an early race endorsement for Natural Action. The Stewards approved the request after an examination by the on–track veterinarian. Natural Action will compete in early races until further notice.

A pre–race sample was unable to be obtained from Slingshot Bruno. A post race sample was subsequently taken.
