Steward's Report
Big Braveheart was quick to begin.
Big Braveheart fell turning off the back straight, finished the event, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
She's For Real fell turning off the back straight, finished the event, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a toe injury on the left fore. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Rothwell Elzinga underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right fore leg and a spike wound and soreness to the left wrist. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr B. Klemke regarding it’s racing manners turning off the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Rothwell Elzinga was charged with marring. Mr Klemke pled guilty to the charge, Rothwell Elzinga was suspended for 28 days at Ballarat only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Superman Keeping - winner of the event.
