Steward's Report
Chop and Geo were slow to begin.
Dr. Buzz shifted out entering the home straight and collided with Wild Bob several times, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg torn nail injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to representative, Ms Judith McMahon regarding the racing manners of Dr. Buzz entering the home straight. Ms McMahon explained that Dr. Buzz sustained an achilles injury previously and since returning to racing has been racing wide. After hearing submissions from Ms McMahon, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
