Lady Wynal - New declared weight of 28.1kg, last raced at 26.8kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Lady Wynal.
Lady Wynal was quick to begin. Stephanie was checked off Sir Marley soon after the start. Ultimate Teddy crossed in on the first turn checking Lady Wynal which brushed the running rail. Establishment and Claretown Dermot collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Sir Marley and Hurricane Pat raced wide in the home straight.
Lady Wynal underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
Claretown Dermot underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds on the left front toes. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Gregory McLachlan, the trainer of Claretown Dermot regarding the greyhound’s performance in this event. After hearing evidence from Mr. McLachlan, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.
