All persons attending today wore facemasks when required, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Inter Teddy was quick to begin.  Rowdy Bourbski was slow to begin.  Rowdy Bourbski was checked off Inter Socks approaching the first turn.  Inter Teddy and Hurricane Daisy collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Inter Teddy underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right wrist.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Tony Interligi regarding the racing manners of Inter Teddy approaching the home turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Interligi, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn.

Aston Edwin was quick to begin.  Car Dealer and Zippy Customer collided soon after the start. Ashby Mayhem was checked off Aston Edwin on the first turn.  Aston Edwin veered out and marred Midnight Incy on the home turn checking Midnight Incy, Zipping Caviar, Joffa’s Monaro and  Zipping Customer.  Zipping Customer, Zipping Caviar and Joffa’s Monaro raced wide in the home straight.

Aston Edwin underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left wrist.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Kyle Brooks, the trainer of Aston Edwin regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Aston Edwin was charged with marring.  Mr. Brooks pleaded guilty to the charged, Aston Edwin was found guilty and suspended for 3 months all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Midnight Incy underwent a post race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have a dislocated toe on the right hind foot.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.  

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from She’s Our Rocket.  A post race sample was subsequently taken.

Flying Foxy was quick to begin.  Send Me Dizzy, Baggy’s Gold and Shall She Charm collided soon after the start checking Shall She Charm.  She’s Our Rocket and Send Me Djzzy collided on the first turn.  Send Me Dizzy was checked off She’s Our Rocket approaching the home turn.  Shall She Charm galloped on Send Me Dizzy on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Baggy’s Gold and Send Me Dizzy collided approaching the winning post.

Jezza Bence and Count Me In were quick to begin.  Flying Surprise and Count Me In collided approaching the home turn.  Daintree Lad and Count Me In collided on the home turn.

Kuta Cowboy was slow to begin.  Destini Bonfire and Kamara Bale collided soon after the start. Galloping Star and Kamara Bale collided in the home straight.

A post race sample was taken from Albies Cruiser - winner of the event.

Smooth Cruiser, Tennessee Plates and Hyland Matata collided soon after the start.  Tennessee Plates and Hyland Matata collided on the first turn checking Hyland Matata.  Tennessee Plates clipped the heels of Smooth Cruiser approaching the home turn.  Smooth Cruiser galloped on Tennessee Plates on the home turn.  Smooth Cruiser and Willow’s Hand collided entering the home straight.  Smooth Cruiser and Hyland Matata collided in the home straight.

Lady Wynal - New declared weight of 28.1kg, last raced at 26.8kg.

Lady Wynal was quick to begin.  Stephanie was checked off Sir Marley soon after the start.  Ultimate Teddy crossed in on the first turn checking Lady Wynal which brushed the running rail. Establishment and Claretown Dermot collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Sir Marley and Hurricane Pat raced wide in the home straight.

Lady Wynal underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Claretown Dermot underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds on the left front toes.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Gregory McLachlan, the trainer of Claretown Dermot regarding the greyhound’s performance in this event.  After hearing evidence from Mr. McLachlan, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

Paua Of Janie and Greysynd Spectre collided soon after the start.  Soda Prince crossed in soon after the start causing Paua Of Janie, Greysynd Spectre, Hugo and My Gem to collide.  Paua Of Janie and Hugo collided on the first turn.  Greysynd Spectre and My Gem collided approaching the home turn.  Rumour Is Fact and Soda Prince collided on the home turn.

Little Kit crossed in soon after the start checking Addie Attitude.  Select Hypo and Alecia collided several times from soon after the start to the first turn.  Hurricane Keely and Select Hypo collided approaching the winning post.

Leg Burner was quick to begin.  Panama Canal and Second Pick collided on the first turn checking Second Pick.  Leg Burner was checked off Second Pick approaching the home turn.  One Thrill and Go Quantum collided approaching the home turn.  Leg Burner and Go Quantum collided entering the home straight.

Slim Shadow was vetted prior to the event after escaping from the handler in the parade yard and was passed fit to race.

Lamont Bale And Kazoo Giblet collided approaching the first turn.

A post race sample was taken from Slim Shadow - winner of the event.

Stewards opened an inquiry with Mr. Gordon Edwards after the greyhound Slim Shadow escaped in the parade area prior to the event.  After hearing submissions from Mr. Edwards Stewards charged him with negligence in accordance with GAR 86(o) and issued a fine of $200.

An out of competition sample was taken from Just A Minute on 3 April 2022 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Liberty Royal crossed to the rail soon after the start.  Just A Minute, Aston Sabelle and Weeona Jack collided approaching the first turn.  Liberty Royal was checked off Cool Stone approaching the first turn.  Aston Sabelle raced wide in the home straight.
