Steward's Report
Aston Edwin was quick to begin. Car Dealer and Zippy Customer collided soon after the start. Ashby Mayhem was checked off Aston Edwin on the first turn. Aston Edwin veered out and marred Midnight Incy on the home turn checking Midnight Incy, Zipping Caviar, Joffa’s Monaro and Zipping Customer. Zipping Customer, Zipping Caviar and Joffa’s Monaro raced wide in the home straight.
Aston Edwin underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left wrist. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Kyle Brooks, the trainer of Aston Edwin regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Aston Edwin was charged with marring. Mr. Brooks pleaded guilty to the charged, Aston Edwin was found guilty and suspended for 3 months all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Midnight Incy underwent a post race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have a dislocated toe on the right hind foot. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
