Banjo Star was quick to begin. Mondavi went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Talyana and Dewana Hold On were slow to begin. Banjo Star crossed to the rail soon after the start. Talyana crossed to the outside in the back straight checking Glenstall Abbey. Hey Roseeta crossed to the outside in the back straight checking Punch It. Glenstall Abbey and Talyana collided on the third turn causing Talyana to hit the running rail. Talyana checked off the heels of Punch It entering the home straight.

Mrs. Freeze and Telling You collided approaching the first turn severely checking Mrs. Freeze, Dexcellent, Happy Tiger and Cuzzen Bouldy. Happy Tiger checked off Dewana Savanna approaching the second turn. Happy Tiger and Dewana Savanna collided on the third turn. Cuzzen Bouldy and Dewana Savanna collided on the home turn.

Dashing Red and Josh Milne collided on the first turn. Power Switch contacted the running rail on the first turn. Dashing Red and Josh Milne collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds. Power Switch contacted the running rail approaching the second turn.
