Langi Bale stumbled at box rise and was slow out as a result. Hurunui Hitman and Garrick Bale collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Grigorieva Bale and Veyron Bale collided on the first turn. Imry Bale and Grigorieva Bale collided approaching the second turn. Imry Bale checked off the heels of Grigorieva Bale entering the back straight severely checking Imry Bale and Veyron Bale. Imry Bale and Veyron Bale collided on the third turn. Imry Bale checked off the heels of Veyron Bale approaching the home turn. Garrick Bale raced wide in the home straight.
