Steward's Report

Dr. Forest was slow to begin.

Aston Khan marred Tyson's Typhoon approaching the first turn checking Global Beauty, Tyson's Typhoon and Aston Khan.  Branson Bale, Mighty Thanos and Draconic Lad collided on the first turn checking Draconic Lad.  Global Beauty galloped on Aston Khan approaching the home turn checking Global Beauty.  Global Beauty and Tyson's Typhoon collided on the home turn checking Tyson's Typhoon, severely checking Global Beauty and Dr. Forest, Dr. Forest and Global Beauty, both fell as a result.  

Dr. Forest underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a cervico-thoracic injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Global Beauty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Aston Khan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left quadriceps injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Colin Brennan regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Aston Khan was charged with marring.  Mr. Brennan pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Khan was suspended for 28 days at Ballarat only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
