Steward's Report
Blue Yaala – Late scratching at 9.58am due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Black Phoenix and Beautiful Freak collided approaching the first turn. Rogan Bale brushed the rail approaching the first turn. Wild Harmony and Numinous collided on the first turn checking Wild Harmony. Wild Harmony, Darley Dynamo, Al's Shout and Beautiful Freak collided approaching the home turn checking Black Phoenix and severely checking Al's Shout which fell as a result. Darley Dynamo and Beautiful Freak collided on the home turn checking Darley Dynamo.
Al's Shout underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the throat region. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Rogan Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right groin injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mrs Jennifer Torr regarding the greyhounds performance in the event. In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mrs.Torr to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Rogan Bale in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
