Inga Lenny and Lusty Lovin' were quick to begin. Zoe Girl was slow to begin.
Veracruz Bale and Reservior Frank collided approaching the first turn. Saint Ellie checked off Inga Lenny approaching the first turn. Saint Ellie and Dr. Ronald collided on the first turn. Dr. Ronald checked off Solar Rock approaching the home turn. Inga Lenny and Solar Rock collided approaching the home turn. Veracruz Bale crossed wide, visably eased and collided with Dr. Ronald on the home turn, checking Dr. Ronald.
Veracruz Bale underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg monkey muscle injury; a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mrs Tammy Kennedy-Harris regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B(1), Veracruz Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Kennedy-harris pleaded guilty to the charge, Veracruz Bale was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B(1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
