Steward's Report

A sample was taken from Rower's Rule upon arrival at the course.

Stewards withheld  the "all clear" for this Event to review all available video footage of the concluding stages of the Event.  After viewing the footage and acting on their own observations, the all clear was notified.

Halo Lad and Rower's Rule were quick to begin.

Reiko Haze visibly eased soon after the start and pulled up.  Zipping Chuck, Zipping Winslet and Yaala Express collided approaching the first turn, checking Yaala Express.  Zipping Chuck and Zipping Winslet collided approaching the first turn.

Reiko Haze underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.  Stewards spoke to Mr Jason Wickham, the representative of Reiko Haze regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Reiko Haze was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Wickham pleaded guilty to the charge, Reiko Haze was found guilty and suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Zipping Winslet underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 11.  Zipping Winslet was found to have a left foreleg wrist injury.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr Jason Wickham, the representative of Zipping Winslet regarding its performance over the concluding stages. After hearing evidence from Mr Wickham, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71 Zipping Winslet must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
