A sample was taken from Inga Letty upon arrival at the course.

Inga Letty, High Priority and On The Air were quick to begin. Tinker Count went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.

Inga Letty, Jaggered and Buffet Baron collided approaching the first turn, checking Inga Letty. Jaggered, Buffet Baron and On The Air collided on the first turn; checking Jaggered and Buffet Barron. Factory Flyer and Tinker Count raced wide approaching the home turn. High Priority stumbled approaching the home turn.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.
