Steward's Report
Beks, Vapourette and Brindle Pogo collided soon after the start. Beks checked off Vapourette approaching the first turn. Vapourette and Clumsy Tank collided several times on the first turn and approaching the second turn checking Clumsy Tank. Vapourette checked off Beks on the second turn checking Clumsy Tank.
Clumsy Tank was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both hamstrings and the left quadriceps. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Vapourette was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hamstring. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Sharp, trainer of the greyhound Vapourette regarding an incident approaching the second turn before deciding not to take any further action.
