Steward's Report
Kiria Lason was slow to begin. Mahjong King was very slow to begin (3 lengths), crossed to the outside and raced wide soon after the start. Lilly's Hand and Uno Shelley collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Lilly's Hand and Kiria Lason collided approaching the second turn, checking Mahjong King. Mahjong King and Kiria Lason collided in the home straight, causing both greyhounds to race wide.
Mahjong King was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Chalker, the trainer of the greyhound Mahjong King. Stewards deemed the performance of Mahjong King unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Mahjong King must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
