Steward's Report

Husta Husta and Strike The Spike were slow to begin. 

Nindigully Boy and Strike The Spike collided approaching the first turn. Nindigully Boy, Husta Husta, Bernmar Princess and Val Lea collided on the first turn severely checking Val Lea and Husta Husta. Husta Husta fell as a result. Kilcolegan Cross galloped on the heels of Strike The Spike on the second turn severely checking Kilcolegan Cross and Strike The Spike. 

Val Lea was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right thigh and a spike wound to the right hock. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Strike The Spike was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left thigh and the right triceps. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Husta Husta was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right forearm and was humanely euthanised.
