Coral and Banjo Blitz were slow to begin. Coral, Unix Bale and Born Ali collided soon after the start. Coral checked off Unix Bale approaching the first turn. Unix Bale and Born Ali collided on the first turn. Unix Bale checked off Born Ali on the third turn checking Nimble Icon and Banjo Blitz. Coral checked off Nimble Icon on the fourth turn. Coral clipped the heels of Nimble Icon entering the back straight.
Coral was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. A sample was subsequently taken from the greyhound, unplaced in the event.
Samples were taken from the first two placegetters in the event - Mepunga Tiara (1st) and Born Ali (2nd).
