Wizard Of Offaly was slow to begin. Orson's Touch and Dyna Prankster collided soon after the start. Wizard Of Offaly and Val Lea collided soon after the start. Orson's Touch, Wizard Of Offaly and Val Lea collided approaching the first turn checking Val Lea. Orson's Touch and Sir Alfred collided approaching the home turn checking Orson's Touch. Grumble's Tomato and Dazzle Allen collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Grumble's Tomato checked off Val Lea approaching the home turn. Orson's Touch raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.
Grumble's Tomato was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Ms. N. Perkins, the trainer of the greyhound Grumble's Tomato. Stewards deemed the performance of Grumble's Tomato unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Grumble's Tomato must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
