A pre race sample was taken from Cattogio.
Jack's Brutus went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 lengths).
Inazzma and Dark Harmony collided soon after the start. Prince Shak and Dark Harmony collided soon after the start. Absolute Leeder, Yoshi and Prince Shak collided soon after the start checking Prince Shak and Yoshi. Inazzma, Dark Harmony and Absolute Leeder collided approaching the first turn severely checking Inazzma which raced wide as a result. Absolute Leeder and Dark Harmony collided approaching the home turn checking Dark Harmony. Jack's Brutus and Dark Harmony collided approaching the home turn. Cattogio raced wide entering the home straight.
Prince Shak was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a tear to the right shoulder. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
