Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Black Cadel.
Black Cadel, Osteria Mozza, Gervon and Layton Boss collided soon after the start. Gervon and Riverside Billie collided approaching the first turn. Black Cadel checked off Osteria Mozza on the first turn. Black Cadel, Gervon, Riverside Billie and Shiraz Reef collided on the first turn checking Black Cadel and Layton Boss and severely checking Gervon, Riverside Billie and Shiraz Reef, Shiraz Reef stumbled and tailed off as a result.
Shiraz Reef was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both back muscles and the right pencil muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
