Steward's Report
Rocket Power – Late scratching at 13:41 due to non–arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Mr Darren Irby informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on–route to the track. Stewards advised Mr Irby that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence.
A pre-race sample was taken from Two Up Tommy.
Two Up Tommy, Speedy Muffin and Mikado Gal collided soon after the start, on the first turn and approaching the home turn checking Speedy Muffin and Mikado Girl and severely checking Two Up Tommy.
McIvor Jack and Slippery Swan collided approaching the winning post checking Slippery Swan.
Two Up Tommy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right pencil/whip muscle and shin soreness. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Supplementary Report - 30.3.22: The 28 day stand down was removed from Rocket Power following the production of a tow truck receipt as proof of a car breakdown to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
