Steward's Report
Aussie Onyx – Late scratching at 9.10am when trainer Mrs Julie Belsham reported the greyhound to have a toe injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Mr William McMahon was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Zardora pursuant to GAR 33.
The Stewards interviewed Mrs Loren Dalziel, the Representative of Aussie Onyx in relation to the bona fides of the withdrawal from this race. Stewards issued Mrs Julie Belsham with a warning in accordance with GAR 23 (1) (a) after the greyhound was withdrawn following the appointed scratching time. acting in accordance with GAR 20 (3) (v), a veterinary certificate has been ordered by Stewards, before any further nominations are accepted for Aussie Onyx.
Cousin's Ace was quick to begin. Laquita Star was slow to begin.
Mt. View Jewel and Laquita Star collided several times at the 250m checking both greyhounds. No Risk galloped on Cousin's Ace approaching the 200m checking Poppy's Boy severely checking Cousin's Ace and No Risk. Cousin's Ace and Poppy's Boy collided approaching the home turn.
