All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 33.0 degrees and the kennel temperature was 19.5 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Kira's Choice was quick to begin. Oodnadatta Man was slow to begin.

Kira's Choice and Moon Dragon collided approaching the 250m checking both greyhounds. Kira's Choice faulted at the 200m and lost ground. Be Good Goldie and Kira's Choice collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds, Be Good Goldie stumbled and lost ground as a result.

Be Good Goldie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg dew claw injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Kira's Choice underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 4. Kira's Choice was found to have a right hindleg triangle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr Marcus McMahon was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Dr. Earnie pursuant to GAR 33.

Cousin's Ace was quick to begin. Laquita Star was slow to begin.

Mt. View Jewel and Laquita Star collided several times at the 250m checking both greyhounds. No Risk galloped on Cousin's Ace approaching the 200m checking Poppy's Boy severely checking Cousin's Ace and No Risk. Cousin's Ace and Poppy's Boy collided approaching the home turn.

Next Teardrop was quick to begin. Dwarshuis was slow to begin.

Leo Giblet and Elswyk Suzie collided approaching the 250m. Leo Giblet and Evanlee collided at the 200m. Elswyk Suzie and Dwarsguis collided at the 150m checking Elswyk Suize.

Elswyk Rocky and High Profiler collided at the 250m checking High Profiler, Judith, Elswyk Sky and Hurricane Keely. High Profiler and Judith collided on the home turn checking Judith. 

Hurricane Keely underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg split webbing and a spike wound. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Hurricane Keely with Mrs Victoria Sultana representative and noted their comments.

The Stewards interviewed Mr Damian Meade the trainer of Balmoral in relation to the bona fides of the withdrawal from this race.

Humanity and No Way Nellie collided approaching the 400m. Montaro and No Way Nellie collided at the 200m. Humanity visible eased on the home turn and in the home straight and was subsequently was tailed off.

Humanity underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following race 9 - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Brendan De Rozario, the trainer of Humanity regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Humanity was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr De Rozario pleaded guilty to the charge, Humanity was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
